Steel Diamond was awarded the
Tanami Gas Pipeline, an 8-inch 440km
underground pipeline bringing natural
gas to the Newmont Tanami mine sites.
Steel Diamond was employed by Murphy
Pipe and Civil Group (MPC) to perform the
welding scope. This was a first for MPC
considering welding is self performed on
all their contracts. Our extremely low repair
rate of .90% sets the bench mark in our
industry. We finished our scope well ahead
of schedule putting MPC in a great position
to deliver the project on time.
